September 9th is beginning to gain special significance for EV owners, becoming a meeting point for electric mobility supporters around the world, coordinated by the World EV Forum. For those interested, you will find more details at the end about World EV Day, its goals, methods, and especially suggestions for active participation.
This year we decided to attend the event organized by the KEVA – EV association in Kalamazoo, a passionate community of owners, I have written about several times. The meeting place was the Gilmore Car Museum in Michigan, a perfect venue for all kinds of automotive gatherings, even though its core profile — the one that built its reputation — is classic car models.
On the generous green lawns surrounding the museum buildings, car enthusiasts meet every Wednesday evening to display their vehicles and chat about automotive topics with friends, acquaintances, other enthusiasts, or simply visitors passing by.
This pleasant and constructive environment dedicated to automotive education was also chosen by the Kalamazoo EV owners’ community for their monthly meetups — moments of reconnecting with people motivated by many shared ideals about efficient, quiet, and cleaner transportation.
Being my first time attending at Gilmore — but certainly not the last — I captured general images, a few of the exhibits present on the evening of September 9th, and especially the participants in the section dedicated to electric vehicles.

The meeting location was marked on the map distributed in advance by prof. Paul Pancella to all participants, and also on-site through the event tent and flags visible from a distance.

Participants and our 2018 Model 3
The weather gave us a bit of everything: cool air, light rain, and sunshine at the end — but the atmosphere remained warm, friendly, and open to exchanging ideas about sustainable transportation.
